If I could be anything I’d really like to be a tree.  They are tall and strong and symbolize wisdom and strength.  They are respected and stand alone with no need of anyone.  They also symbolize independence and self-sufficiency.  They go through a distinct pattern of changes.  They shed their old appearance and take on a new one each year.
