Weekend update – February 10, 1992
Friday was sorta boring. I went to Wal-mart with my mom to look for a new backpack. We went and got a sandwich from Subway. Of course, it was good. Then, about 9:30, Bonnie came to get me and we went to get her check cashed. We went to Albertson’s on Airline, but they wanted 15 dollars to cash it, so we said forget that! we went to the one on Florida, and they cashed it, so we got in the car, and started back toward Denham, but where we pulled out to get back on Florida had a DO NOT ENTER sign, and the next thing we knew, we had a nice set of red and blues flashing behind us. That was the last thing we needed. It was 10:30 and we were supposed to be home already. So ,the cop took her license and left. There was another cop writing somebody else a ticket for the same thing, so she asked him what she was supposed to do. He wrote her a ticket and before we left, they had caught another person for the same thing. We got home, and her dad wasn’t mad. She was very relieved! Saturday, we had the ACT, so we got up at 5:45 to get ready. I had to go to Baton Rouge High so I went there and Bonnie had to go to Brusly. when she came back to get me, she said that they wouldn’t let her take it because she didn’t have a photo I.D., since the cop took her license. She was mad. Sunday, I spent most of the day at the Baker Little Theater with Emily. She works on the props and costumes crew for "See How They Run". It’s a pretty funny play. I had a headache all day, but I finally got rid of it. I still had to make Rice Krispie treats for Mrs. Orr’s class. Aagghh! (Note in the margin from the teacher: Yum!)
