Which sex is luckier? – February 12, 1992

I definitely think that men have it easier. As you know, I think this for all the typical reasons. Guys don’t have to worry about hair and make-up and our lovely "once a month friend" presented from Mother Nature (who I happen to hate). They don’t have to worry about carrying a baby for nine months, only to have it grow up and hate you crap, either. I know that women get out of a lot of things like traffic tickets and other things. They also get a lot of stuff free, and all they have to do is smile, but the other stuff isn’t worth just that. Men don’t have to worry about what earrings will match their outfit and why their hair keeps falling. Although some men fix their hair now, most of them still stick to the"wash, dry, brush" routine. There have been times when I wished I was a guy. The times when I don’t get to do as much because I’m a girl, and of course, at that special time. I think I would like to be a guy for about a week, just to see what it’s like for them. Maybe then, it would be harder to say they have it so much easier. It’s hard to really know what it’s like for someone else when you’ve never been in their place. And I must say, I’ve never been in their place, but I imagine that maybe it’s not as easy as it seems.
