Lent – March 6, 1992

I’m not giving up anything for Lent. For one thing, I’m not Catholic. I think it’s a good practice. It shows that people, at least, have some sort of will power and respect for tradition. I just think it’s strange how there is this huge celebration that gives everybody a chance to hurry up and do all the things they are giving up. That’s like saying "Okay, this is your big chance to go out and sin as much as you can, so tomorrow you can go to church, get on your knees and beg for forgiveness." It seems just kinda hypocritical in a way. Anyway, hope ou have a good weekend.
