While it may seem strange to walk 15 minutes in the rain at 2am to seek out NesQuik to make chocolate milk, it is, nevertheless, what I’ve just returned from doing. I think the Quik was just an excuse to go out for a walk when I felt I had overindulged in some very bad food at dinner, though, damn, it tasted good! The walk was an attempt to avoid the second half of that old saying “a moment on the lips, a lifetime on the hips”. :-/
Stop one at Shoppers Drug Mart (what a stupid name for a store anyway, eh?) found no Quik but I got a small jug of chocolate milk as a Plan B, just because I didn’t want to be completely denied for my efforts! But, I decided to swing by the Esso station on my way back home and, lo and behold, I was shocked and ever-so-pleased to find that they did, in fact, have the sought-after item!
I must make an effort to start sleeping and waking at normal hours, though I think the reason I enjoy late nights so much is because the stress of daytime living isn’t there. No one on the roads, no one to want to pelt with machine-gun fire because they don’t know how to drive, no standing in line. All in all, just a more peaceful existence. And my friends wonder why I think I’d prefer to live in a semi-rural area.
This is my first post on a MySpace blog and, in all honesty, I don’t expect to be particularly diligent, but when the mood strikes me, I’ll add a post here and there.
Good night and good luck!
