I went to the park per my earlier post and was standing at the first pond feeding the ducks when, all of a sudden, I felt a pain in my left leg and flung around to have a squirrel fly off the side of my leg! The little bugger was pissed that I wasn’t feeding him and decided to get my attention – and he did!
I’ve had them jump up on me before, but this time it actually scratched me and broke the skin. When I got home, I phoned the BC Nurse Line to see if they thought I should go in and get a tetanus shot and they said that they recommended I go to the clinic and get one. My god! I am just trying to feed hungry animals and I get attacked! 🙁
So, I went to the Station Square clinic and, luckily, she took me right in because I phoned beforehand to ask if they had the tetanus shots there and if they were really busy. She said that I wouldn’t have to wait just to get an injection, so that was nice because the wait was about an hour long!
I went in and the doctor came in to give me the shot. I pulled up my pants leg to show him the scratches which were on the outside of my left leg just next to my knee. He drew little pictures of them in my chart! lol He gave me a prescription for Keflex to get filled if it starts to get infected, but I doubt it will.
Then, I stopped by SaveOn to pick up some small nail clippers to try to get that stupid ingrown toenail out of there – the other clippers are too big to get into the small area I need to cut – and picked up a few other things and then walked home.
I looked on Amazon to see if Deidre’s gifts had been delivered and she said they hadn’t. I told her that it said on the site that it had been delivered to her front door. She went and looked outside and, lo and behold, there it was. So, she got on the webcam so I could watch her open it. lol Ain’t technology grand! I sent her the two-disc set of The Color Purple on DVD and a package of 4×6 matte photo paper. Also, her watch and notecards should be arriving tomorrow.
We talked on video chat for a while and now I’m about to either go watch some TV or go lie in the bed and read.
Tracey bothered to respond with another snarky reply to my last message, just enough to say: “For someone who isn’t into accounting, you’re doing a pretty good job of it. You’re a good talker in the form of the written word, so you win.” Dumbass! I wrote back only to say, “You’re too much. *sigh* What I said is not to be “accounting”, it’s to remind you that you don’t have to worry about me screwing you over…”
Whatever. I’m fine with hanging out here by myself. It’s so peaceful…
