Sandman, Take Me Away

I just woke up about 20 minutes ago from yet another series of dreams about my Mom and her impending death. I wish the dreams would just leave me alone, or at least allow me time to spend with my Mom where I could feel happy about it at least for that time.  The bad thing about dreaming something like that, is that it’s not like other bad dreams where you wake up and breathe a sigh of relief because it was just a dream. I wake up from these dreams and it’s reality.

On a happier note, I found out that Nordstrom in Seattle has the Keen Coronado Suede shoes that I’ve been dying to get for months now. Laina said she would go by and pick them up for me since she’s down there at Bumbershoot this weekend, so I called and made sure they had the size and color I want and paid for them with my Visa card over the phone. I’m so excited!!!

Just got off the phone with Liberty Mutual to try to get a new policy written in my name for the house. They initially told me it would be something like $600 less per year than what my Mom’s policy was, then she said that the system rejected the quote because of the roof claim, but that she was going to send a note to a supervisor to try to get them to write a new policy for me because my Mom was with them for 10 years. I’m so nervous about it.  The lady is supposed to call me back later today if she can or by Tuesday to let me know. Please, God, let this go through so I can stop worrying about it!!!!

Have been feeling anxious the past four or five days. Not surprising, considering the time of the month. Hopefully, in the next month or so, I can afford to go to the naturopath to get my hormone levels checked out and see what might be going on.

I need to head over to Metrotown to get a haircut and buy some new undies, but not sure if I’m going to find the motivation to do it or not.

Got a new DVD player yesterday from Costco so I can watch DVDs that have burned AVI files on the disc. I have a lot of movies I’ve downloaded that I can only watch on my laptop which is a drag. It was only $50, so not a bad investment in entertainment.

Watching Venus about to lose her match at the US Open against Kim Clijsters. Hope she pulls it out!
