Weekend Update – March 23, 1992

My weekend was one rollercoaster ride and a half! Friday, I had already been at Bon-E’s since Thursday night, and we went to Celebration Station. I went to the mall right after school and stayed up there with Emily from about 4:30 until 8:30. That was very boring, but better than being at home!  Anyway, we went to CBS to ride go-karts, but ended up playing a game of golf. By the time we got to the 17th hole, she told me that her stomach was really hurting her, so we finished up our game really quick and left to go back to her house. By the time we got there, she was almost doubled over. She got in bed, but couldn’t be still, so she told her dad. He told her to lay down for a minute, and he pressed on her side. So, he thought it was her appendix, and we jumped in the truck, and took off for Medical Center. We got there, and told them what was wrong, and in about 15 minutes (which seemed like forever) they called her to the triage nurse. They took her back and got blood and all the assorted goodies, and told her that it wasn’t her appendix, but an irritated ovary or something. They gave her some demerol (I guess that’s how you spell it) and antibiotics. We didn’t get home until almost 2:00am. Needless to say, we went to sleep right away. Saturday was very boring. I got up about 11:30 and Velinda and I went to get Bon-E’s prescriptions filled. Mostly, we spent the whole day laying around. Sunday, we went to Emily’s and I started working on my T-shirt. I went home and my mom came in my room, and kept telling me all kinds of stuff, calling Bon-E all sorts of names, not excluding what we would call a "Harlot". That made me so mad. My mom’s just jealous of her. I still don’t know why. Oh, well! Life goes on…
