ABC’s – March 31, 1992

Although many things had happened, he kept his faith. Brandon looked for the answer to his question at every point on the Earth. Calling many places, he said "Do you have an answer for me?" Doubting he would ever find an answer, he became frustrated. Every person he talked to gave him the same puzzled look and a mindless shrug of their shoulders. For many days and nights, he would sit and ponder every element of his dilemma. Giving in at this point would be to admit defeat. He would never be able to live with himself knowing he let it go that far and just forget it now. In the course of the day, he did research and strained his mind to its outermost limits. Just then, it hit him. Karma had unwrapped the answer to his question in a nice, appealing way. Like many people, he had spent many hours of his life chasing something he would never attain. Men often chase an unanswerable trivia just out of spite to tell the people who made this rule they are wrong. Now, Brandon accepted the fact that he would never know the solutions that had long plagued his consciousness, and often trouble his slumbering sub-mind. (Note from the teacher in the margin: Bonus + 10) On and on, he tries to get further away from curiosity. Patience, he thinks. Quite a few days come and go, not many of which satisfied any needs. Really, none of this makes any sense. Sense, of course, doesn’t have a lot to do with anything.  To this day, people do things that make "no sense". Unless you have a very wild imagination, you won’t be able to make much of this whole thing. Vivid words that don’t mean much are merely nothingness. Words without meaning are like eyes without sight. X-rays without radiation doesn’t help you see anything but blackness. You may think I’m looney, but if you actually think about it, there are many unanswered questions that we hammer into our minds. Zebras have better sense than to ask why they have stripes and not checks!
