September 14, 2003

I’ve spent most of the day working today on the Lasso web site interface.  I think it’s coming along pretty well.  Yesterday, I got an email from Leigh Wilson who was looking for me.  So, she wrote back today and I called her and we chatted for a good long while.  I’m so happy that I got out of Louisiana because it seems like everyone who has stayed there has really not gotten very far in their lives.  I feel so fortunate that I came into my job, one that actually has some potential to bring in a good income.

I went out to the driving range and to dinner with Laina.  We had an OK time at the driving range, but I really hurt my arm. I guess I swung too hard or something, but at least today it’s not killing me like it was yesterday when I did it.  We went to Stepho’s on Davie Street for Greek food.  It was good.  I actually tasted a piece of kalamari and I was not impressed.  When we were driving there, the phone rang and it was Susan and she told Laina to put me on the phone.  Tracey got on the phone and asked me if I’d talked to Andree and I told her that I’d called and left a message on her machine because Carol was always asking me if I’d heard from her and telling me I should give her a call.

So, I was going to go play pitch and putt with Carol, but she ditched out on me, so I called Andree to see if she was home.  She wasn’t, so I just left her a message.  Tracey said that she was coming back from Safeway and saw Andree and some women stopped in front of her house, pointing at her place.  So, she followed them and they went back to Andree’s place.  Tracey went up to the door at Andree’s and she said that when Andree answered the door, she just hung her head down.  Then, Tracey asked her what she was doing by her house and Andree said that they just came by to say hi.  Tracey said “Yeah, right, don’t bullshit me, you were casing my place, what the hell is going on?” and Andree said “How dare you talk to me that way” and slammed the door in her face.  So, Tracey and Susan went around the side of the house to the window and Andree just said that she had gone to McDonald’s and wanted to stop by and say hi.  So, Tracey was all worried that they were going to break into her house or her car.  She said that Andree asked her what type of car she was driving, which sounds a little suspicious to me, too.  So, I told her that she should call the cops and document the weird activity and also to mention to them that her car had been broken into a year ago and she suspected that it might have been a friend of Andree’s and that Andree showed up with Tracey’s ID a few months later, which seemed really odd.  So, she said she was going to call the cops.

Laina and I went to Numbers after we ate and I found it really boring.  We only stayed for about 30 minutes or so and then we came back here.  We watched Better Than Chocolate and she went home.
