Tuesday, June 16, 2009 – 3:13pm – La-Z-Boy Lodge, Burnaby, BC

Today is Laina’s 34th birthday. We just got back from having lunch at Cactus Club. She has been feeling really down lately, so I was happy to take her out for a nice lunch and make her feel a little better.  I had the scrumptuous chicken fajitas and she had pistachio-crusted halibut and yam fries. Their garlic aioli is to-die-for!  On the way out of the restaurant, Iron Chef Rob Feenie came walking out of the kitchen. I was so shocked that the first thing out of my mouth was “Oh, my God…you’re that famous guy!” and he chuckled and said “Oh, I’m not famous…how was your lunch?” and I told him that the chicken fajitas were kick-ass. I think he was somewhat amused at our being a tiny bit starstruck.

Have to get back to working on the huge document for PaceSetter. Just popped on the laptop while waiting for the desktop to reboot.
