This is the home for my personal journal. I have kept journals off and on since I was 10 years old. Over the past 5 years or so, I’ve become more consistent. Journaling has proven to be a valuable tool for me for self-reflection, a venting space and a chronicle of my day-to-day activities.
The name Perfectly Windy Sky comes from a line in the Tori Amos song, Cruel, from the “From the Choirgirl Hotel” album. The line goes: “Why can’t my ba.ll.oo.n stay up in a perfectly windy sky?” It just struck me as a very visual description. It’s hard to explain, but it stuck with me. When I was first learning to design web sites, I had a Tori Amos fan site called Perfectly Windy Sky and just re-registered the domain name after having let it expire a number of years ago.
I am a graphic designer and manage a small design firm. Along with my professional work, I maintain a design-related resource site which I’ve recently launched, which keeps me busy adding new content and updating its Twitter feed.
I am also an avid amateur photographer and enjoy the process of viewing everyday objects as things of beauty.
